Coastal Elegance on Valentine’s Day at Lowndes Grove

Rachel and Sam celebrated their Valentine’s Day wedding at Lowndes Grove in Charleston, South Carolina, where soft February light and sweeping marsh views created a setting filled with romance. Their palette of dusty blue, crisp white, and soft sage echoed the coastal tones of the Lowcountry and carried beautifully throughout the day.

The ceremony took place on the lawn overlooking the water, where a white aisle runner led to an arch draped in dusty blue and ivory fabric layered with roses, ranunculus, baby’s breath, and tropical greenery. Lush pedestal urns of hydrangeas, roses, and blue delphinium by Fonte Fleur framed the entrance, while a live musical trio set a graceful tone for the vows beside the marsh.

The reception unfolded in a luminous space beneath glowing chandeliers. Cross-back chairs and blue chargers framed the tables, where tall glass vases overflowing with clouds of baby’s breath formed airy, sculptural centerpieces. Rentals from Sawdust & Sweetgrass added refined detail throughout, while Lowndes Grove delivered the evening’s dining experience and Goldbug Events ensured the celebration flowed seamlessly from ceremony to reception.
