Luxuriant Spring Sophistication at The Clifton Inn

Alexandra and JD’s April wedding at The Clifton Inn flourished in spring secret garden wonder. The lavish sophisticated seminal estate overlooking verdant Blue Ridge Mountain forests welcomed friends and family with a stately Colonial Revival Manor House, an intimate secret garden and prestigious croquet lawn edged by blooming gardens.

Charlottesville wedding planners from Amore Events organized the day in a gentle muted rose and delicate white palette while floral designers from Steelcut Flower Co. built bountiful bouquets and décor from white and blush blooms intertwined with natural greenery.

Charlottesville wedding photographer Sidney Leigh set up scenes throughout the stunning bucolic property, calling on budding trees and manicured gardens. She captured shared bride and groom laughs and embraces in the tucked-away grove, sweet caresses under the custom floral ceremony arch, the cutest flower girl and ring bearer and a striking family formal portrait in front of the Clifton’s grand columned mansion.

Champagne flutes and a string quartet welcomed guests to the ceremony lawn and Blue Ridge Event Production and MS Events designed an impeccable reception under the grand court tent nestled in the forest just beyond a tranquil waterfall and infinity pool. The fairytale experience flowed with crisp white linens and soft candlelight under hanging spring floral arrangements and gilded chandeliers.

Charlottesville wedding caterers from the Clifton Inn Catering team served a celebrated charcuterie and wine al fresco cocktail hour with butler-attended hors d'oeuvres while guests mingled on the sunny veranda and topped the night with fruit tartlets, chocolate mousse pots and other decadent offerings alongside a pristine three-tier white wedding cake.
