Romance in Bloom at the Gibbes Museum of Art

Lauren & Jeff
Lauren and Jeff celebrated their May wedding at the Gibbes Museum of Art in Charleston, South Carolina, where a radiant spring afternoon and the elegance of historic architecture set the tone for a celebration in full bloom.
The ceremony unfolded inside the museum’s light filled hall, where towering windows illuminated arrangements of coral and blush dahlias, garden roses, ranunculus, and trailing wisteria in soft shades of peach, ivory, and pink. Aisle florals echoed the same palette, creating a romantic path as Lauren made her way down in a strapless mermaid gown with an applique veil. Sean Money and Elizabeth Fay approached the day with a refined, fine art style, rendering each moment with softness and clarity.
Guests then gathered in the courtyard garden, where a tented reception glowed beneath crystal chandeliers. Tables dressed in white linens and gold chiavari chairs were layered with peach and ivory florals, smoked glass votives, and floral china chargers, while lounge seating added a relaxed, elegant touch. As the evening unfolded, a DJ and live saxophonist brought an energetic close to the celebration, with the couple slipping away into Charleston’s storied streets for portraits that reflected the romance of the day.
