Southern Charm at The Governor Thomas Bennett House [Styled Shoot]

Styled Shoot

This styled shoot at The Governor Thomas Bennett House explores a romantic winter palette within one of Charleston’s most storied estates. The grand columned facade and manicured gardens provided a refined backdrop for a design layered in dusty blue, mauve, blush, deep plum, and ivory.

The ceremony concept unfolded across the lawn with clear ghost chairs set against sculpted hedges and blooming camellias. Floral design by Roadside Blooms introduced texture through protea, white anemones, garden roses, lavender accents, and trailing greenery, arranged with a balance of softness and structure. Beauty by Makeup by Elana and hair styling from Shadow & Shears complemented the look with polished, understated elegance.

Reception details carried the palette forward with powder blue cake pops, monogrammed gold-leaf cookies, and a two-tier cake featuring a geometric white base and mauve tier finished in gold script. Leigh Hayward Photography rendered the scene with clarity and depth, allowing the estate’s architecture and layered florals to anchor each frame. A powder blue vintage car with a calligraphed banner completed the editorial narrative with a subtle nod to tradition.
