Spring Garden Splendor at River Farm

With the Potomac River stretching beyond its gardens, River Farm welcomed Allie and Sean for a spring wedding that embraced the season's fresh blooms, historic elegance, and timeless romance. Planned by Dragonfly Events & Design, the celebration blended the estate's natural beauty with a refined garden inspired aesthetic. A palette of sky blue, blush, soft white, and sage green carried throughout the day, expressed through abundant arrangements of white hydrangeas, blue delphinium, blush garden roses, pale stock, lavender tulips, and wispy greenery by Northern Virginia Floral Company. Allie complemented the romantic spring palette in a strapless lace ballgown paired with a flowing cathedral veil and mauve pink floral heels.

At the heart of River Farm, the estate's walled garden provided a picturesque setting for the ceremony. A classic brick pergola framed by climbing greenery overlooked sweeping lawns, towering trees, and vibrant tulip beds in shades of pink, coral, and magenta, allowing the beauty of spring to become part of the celebration itself. Kelly Duerst Photography beautifully balanced the estate's historic charm with the heartfelt moments shared throughout the day.

The reception gathered beneath River Farm's elegant tent, where sparkling crystal chandeliers cast a warm glow over white linen tables dressed with sage green glassware, silver flatware, pale blue ribbon tied menus, and delicate bud vases of daisies and chamomile. Tall arrangements of white roses, hydrangeas, blush peonies, and blue delphinium carried the garden inspired palette into the evening, while vintage teacups and blooming tulips added a charming nod to the estate's historic character. Tasteful Affairs Catering welcomed guests with a thoughtfully curated dining experience before Bachelor Boys Band filled the evening with live music and celebration. As the evening continued, laughter and music filled the tent beneath the chandeliers. Framed by the beauty of River Farm and the glow of a spring evening along the Potomac, the celebration came to a close with the timeless romance that defined Allie and Sean's wedding.
