Winter Warmth at Mount Ida Farm & Vineyard

Kellie & Andrew
Kellie and Andrew celebrated their December wedding at Mount Ida Farm & Vineyard in Charlottesville, Virginia, surrounded by the rolling countryside of Virginia wine country. The Local Catering planned and catered the day, with the crisp winter landscape setting the tone for an intimate celebration filled with warmth and understated seasonal elegance.
The ceremony took place at Mount Ida's white gazebo, overlooking the pond and rolling pastures beyond. Florals in deep burgundy, magenta, and ivory framed the structure, introducing the rich winter palette that carried through the day. Kellie and Andrew's dogs joined the ceremony as well, making their own walk down the aisle in custom collars.
Following the ceremony, the celebration moved into the barn, where string lights and soft white draping brought warmth to the wood interiors. Long tables dressed in white linens featured eucalyptus garlands, candlelight, and jewel toned florals, with emerald napkins, gold framed table numbers, and woven bread baskets adding deeper color and texture. The sweetheart table carried the same greenery and berry toned blooms, while a two tier buttercream cake included figurines of Kellie and Andrew's dogs, bringing another personal nod to their four legged guests.
As evening settled in, Kellie and Andrew shared their first dance surrounded by family and friends before the celebration carried into the night. Jade Sutherland Photography reflects the warmth of the barn and the quiet winter landscape throughout the gallery. Guests later gathered with sparklers and glow sticks as the newlyweds shared a final kiss, sending them off into the December night.
